GoDaddy & WWW help

I follwed the GoDaddy guide on here to set up domain to forward to my smfforfree forum. I can get my domain to forward without typing the "www" bit, but when i do use the "www" it does not work? i would like both ways to work. Any ideas??

Can you give us both the domain URL you purchased and the original URL to your forum?

If its set up correctly you can get to it either with or without the "www" but you have to set it up using only the lfctalk.com as that is the domain name.


Doublecheck your settings at Godaddy

The nameservers you should have created:

ns1.lfctalk.com
ns2.lfctalk.com

Check the IP number to sure you put it in correctly

After 24-48 hours -  Step 2 (see image below) you should have put only lfctalk.com    in that box
If you added the www in that box go to the bottom of the Domain Manager page and - use the link to reset the forum url back to the default then start over.

i have updated the ip address as i should.

it still does not work

1.  How long has it been since you created the nameservers?
     It can take 24-48 hours and sometimes longer for the dns to resolve.     

2. Do NOT update the url UNTIL you get a blank page with a "1" on it when clicking "Verify Url"
     If you do so you can make your forum unusable.

3.  What did you put (exactly) in the box in Step 2  (to the left of the Park Domain button)
     When hovering links on your smfforfree.com forum its appearing you put www.lfctalk.com in that box?
