« on: September 14, 2007, 03:34:58 pm »
Forum Url: http://pspforums.smfforfree3.com
I keep getting the error: PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 7C810A5B

And I am also getting the error: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error: The Website Could Not Display The Page.

The time here is: 4:34 PM (Eastern Time, U.S. & Canada)

Help please.

Thanks in advance.

Your forum is loading fine. Forums from time to time will experience hiccups such as the Internal server error. They can happen when the servers get rebooted, maintenance is being run, etc. You just have to be patient.

As for the PHP error, thats an error SMF is already aware of because tons of people have already posted the same issue (do a search and you will see all the topics on it). I'm sure he will have it fixed as soon as he can.

For anyone reading this, if you experience php errors, (or any other errors for that matter), you need to post exactly what you were doing when the error occured. i.e. viewing a specific board, after you installed a code in your headers/footers, etc, does it happen "every" time you try and do that or just at random times? SMF needs to know as much about it as he can in order to fix errors like the above. Keep in mind this is a "support" site so all the informatation you can give about the problem will help.

Ok, Thank you.

So, I added a new custom profile field (text field, force input) then I went back to the index, then I went back to the admin panel because I wanted to change the custom profile field again, I clicked on the custom profile field in the admin panel and that's when I got the error.

Hope that helps.

Ok, Thank you.

So, when I recieved the PHP error, I was trying to view the custom profile field section in my admin panel.

Hope that helps.

Any info you can give will help because it helps him narrow down where its happening. If its happening at basically the same place, he can figure out how to fix it quicker.  ;)
