that you did.
After adding a category you need to go to permissions for that category and give permission to the groups you want to allow to view that category.   You need to do that for each category you make.     (A give permission to ALL button would be nice SMF)   :) :)

Ok, I may have a dumb question here, lol.....I need a suggestion, I am on the file space manager, and there is the spot that you can add a file space limit to what ever member group you want.  Here inlies my issue, I am goofy when it comes to KB's and MB's, and bytes....can you suggest the amount of bytes that would perhaps equal about 3 pics?  Not huge pics of course, I have made my max allowed width and height to be 500, but it doesnt say 500 what.

Thanks in advance!!

Ok I should explain by default all categories are allowed access to those settings if the group has that global setting.

You would only use the category permissions to deny permission to a group.
Lets say under global permissions you have Members allowed to uploaded images.

But lets say there is one category that you do not want them to upload then you would set the category level permission for the group to deny on adding a picture.

A typical picture can be optimized down to about 100KB's easily. Any picture larger than that is probably monsterous.

(My pictures are so great they are a couple terrabytes lmao  :2funny: Hardly)

Just remember that a typical image should be no more than 100KB's. You shouldn't allow much more than that. If anyone needs thier images optimized you can try this link. I don't know how great it is though...I usually optimize images myself.
