oh jeannerene...      this is getting very confusing.

I just took the css from YOUR forum and put it on MY test forum.
I have only YOUR info in my Header and Footer.

It works fine... isnt messing that area up.

Now it looks like there has to be something else on your forum that is causing this and Im stumped at the moment.

I changed some icons .... to smilies and animated leaves .... that couldn't do it ??

I'm not sure what it could be ... something in a post?

Very odd!! Not sure what to do.  You're right others can see it.

Going back to Manage boards and deleting other skins....... just to see ...

Do the other styles you have installed work fine?

OK ..... I just checked out the styles that come with the upgrade .... and those are fine.

But when I bring up my original skin that I created way back when before the upgrade .... well that skin is now way off the pages .... all of if ..... so I'm going to delete that skin and see what happens.  Deleting my original skin won't delete my board will it ..... sorry if that is stupid question ... I'm new at this ....

This is my original skin and this is what it looks like now after the upgrade.  Didn't look this way before upgrade...

So if I delete the original skin ... maybe that will do it ...

No it'll be fine.   It is okay to do that.

I dont have a test forum on server 1 that was upgraded (as yours was)  or Ild try it there.    My regular forum is ..    I suppose I could annoy my members for a few moments and see if there is some issue with the server 1 upgraded forums with that style (i dont see why there would be though)

Tried it -   that wasnt it.

Go to Manage Styles.. click Delete..     Delete the olive green style.

Then click Create and Create the style again, Modify it.. put in the css.. see how it goes

Here is the css directly from my test forum:

I see that more was posted as I typed this .... but I'll go ahead and post ....

******************

Sibyl

I deleted my original skin, but that didn't change anything as far as Olivegreen...

I've only the default, Light Brown which is one of the sample with the upgrade, Old World which is a stylesheet I got from the StyleSheet Codes here, Olivegreen (which I had made some changes to and then changed back) and Olivegreen2 (no changes)

It is fine in default, Light Brown and Old World.... but still remains really long and running off page with Olivegreen and Olivegreen2....

Sibyl... you've been awefully kind trying to help, but I don't want to take up all our time.  I think I'm going to keep one of the others up for now and I will check back on Olivegreen2 at a later time.  I really like your skin and it was my first choice, but since others can see the problem I'm going to just change it for now.

Thank you so much for trying to help.

what the heck.      gosh this makes no sense at all.   Ive tried it on 3 other forums while going thru this - works fine on all of them.   I cant for the life of me figure out whats causing it but figure its going to wind up being something simple and stupid.

Its not the css or your header/footer codes.    We've ruled that out.
I cant seem to duplicate the problem on another site.
Ild say try running Maintenance but I dont think thats gonna do anything.

umm

Sibyl ... I don't know enough to be able to figure out what it is.  I'm not sure how Maintenance feature works...I have an idea what it is ... so perhaps I'll give it a try tomorrow ...

It must be something on my computer maybe ... it still is doing it for both FF and IE, but I guess its my computer if you can't duplicate it anywhere else....  :)  ... I'll ask my son to give a look...

Thank you for trying...
