lol I know mine is not back up either.

Well I have been with SMF for at least 2 years and not had very many problems....best free forums I have ever found.   :smitten:

Don't get me wrong.  I am appreciative of the free forums and have donated money to it, I guess it just gets frustrating knowing that the forum has been problematic for the only 15 days I have been online with it.

same for me rileks...    Ive rarely had an issue -  have been with the service since Feb of 2006.
I used others before this and it was horrible..  have read thru support forums for some other free hosts and see nothing but constant complaints.   

seems to be effecting all the servers at the moment.   Kinda off an on.

The best we can do right now is try to be nice to the servers until we can get this resolved.

Meaning running forum maintenance tasks is not recommended. Doing that is not only server intensive but usually locks things up until it's done.

That's all I can day. I don't know much else.

I'm just thinking that if someone is gonna host a service that people become reliant upon, it would be in the administrations best interest to bring in technical help to resolve it.  Reliability is what attracts people.  Again, just trying to voice my opinion.  I am not mad.

PS, this reminds me of a time that a friend offered to paint the bathroom in our commercial store for no charge (just because he was a friend).  Only problem is that he did a terrible job and spilled paint spots all over the floor.  In short, the free job ended up being more of a hassle.  I don't want SMFFF to start taking this reputation or people like us who pay in to support it will turn their heads.  Just something to think about.  ;)

He does have technical support take care of things WHEN it is a necessity.   He said last nite that he will work on this later this week.    He has a day job  ;)     It's not being ignored and we do realize its frustrating.
