The Support Forum does not have the auto embed mod installed on it   (thankfully)

Im afraid there is no way around it other then maybe posting it like this:

h ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0BgGhXtjb4

or this:

Code: [Select]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0BgGhXtjb4 using the code tags

*sigh* Wow.

Are you sure there's no way around it? What about an earlier version of smf?

Yep Im sure.. this has been asked a bunch of times here and we've tried several ways.   Using the code tag does work .. they can always copy the code.

er earlier version of smf?     The forums on all servers are the same version and have the embed video mod installed.     The video will not auto play .. you do have to click it to start it.

if you are talking about hosting the software yourself you'll have to use simplemachines forum for support

when i said the version is the same on all servers and the mod is installed on all servers  I am talking about all forums hosted with this service (SMF for Free)  figuring you are talking about your forum here:  http://johnsonsgames.smfforfree4.com/

Uhhmmm. I'm sorry. What?

I just want to use smfforfree and not embed videos. Smf is the easiest forum to use and it has tons of possobilities. But it can't not embed! >:(

I don't know what to do all the other free forums are garbage. =/ *thinks*

lol I was getting abit confused .. not a problem

If you do post it as a link in a post it is going to embed it because of the embed mod that was added.
The mod was requested several times by members.

So yeah you would have to figure out some other way - tis why i suggested using the code tags.  ;)
Sorry,  I cant think of anything else at the moment   *braindead*

You can do it like this but it wont be clickable. They will have to copy and paste it.

Code: [Select]
[html] http://www.youtube.com/v/xpcUxwpOQ_A&hl=en&fs=1[/html]
Using the [htm ] tags onlyl works if you are the administrator.

pooh nevermind..  (and it was a good idea)  ...   didnt work though

Im stumped - dunno any other way to do it..  methinks you'll need to do it as LL posted or with the codes tag as I posted and tell em to copy the code as its not clickable.
