Hey guys, I was wondering, how do you close a board? Like nobody can post in it?

Put it in Maintenance Mode via Admin --> Forum Settings

Just leave it, SMF For Free will delete it when he needs to.

No, I mean like close a board, like just a board that holds a topic. Not the WHOLE FORUM.

Hmm, there used to be an option for Posting Options under admin but now I don't see it.

The options would be something like "Normal", "Polls only","No polls","No replies" and a couple more, but now either it's not there, or I'm looking in the wrong area of the admin panel, hmm....

Simply change the local permissions for the board. Change those permissions to not allow people to post topics, reply to topics, post polls, modify posts, delete posts, everything. Just deny all of their permissions excluding the ones to read topics and view the board.

Then the board is "locked down"
