Members wanting to register are saying they're constantly getting the error message "The letters you typed don't match the letters that were shown in the picture. "   Any suggestions please on how to resolve or lessen this captcha verification problem so approved members can start registering?

Hello SMF!  Any suggestions how to resolve this issue?  Yesterday a member tried to register and he got the notification that his details matched that of a spammer and wasn't allowed to register. 

I tried disabling captcha at registration settings several times but it won't save.

Check
Admin -> Registration -> Settings
"Disable StopForumSpam checks on registration"
