ATTN SMF: Users Online stuck

Hi all!

I just recently been appointed to administer the forum after old admin left and I already have a problem. Our forum's "Users Online" window seems to be stuck for days. It shows the same users online all the time, but when I click on the Users Online link it shows real status of ppl online. I tried to disable and then enable this but it seems it doesn't work.

Any suggestions how to fix it?

Try running Maintenance.
Also Admin > Features and Options
Scroll down abit
Place a checkmark in the box labeled "Track Daily Statistics"
Click SAVE.

Simply you seem to help alot, I have this same problem with user online and it worked like a charm. Thanks, and I undertsand why you're a moderator.

Thanks for fast reply, but I did that several times - Maintenance, checking in/out "Track Daily Statistics", fixing errors, turnion on/off the window itself (which does not work btw) and the problem is still there. Everithing was fine for the last 7 months and this problem started few days ago.

Any ideas what to do?

try changing the User online time threshold to something smaller then 120 and see if that helps.    Caching system could be delaying showing them 'not there' at times.    Nothing we can do about that part of it.   Setting it at 120, as you know,   shows those active in the past 120 mins.   Might need to lower it now.


Disabling the online list under Layout and Options only disables the ability to click on it to see what they are doing.. doesnt take the list away.

has it been stuck at the exact same 9 users for the past few days?   Never less, never more, always shows the same ones there?

Yes, always the same for the last few days

6 Guests, 9 Users
Users active in past 5 minutes:
Whitehorsept, Keritor, degrando, Punish3r, Asterious, Sohai, Fushichou, ulvheiki, Playa

I changed the time and that's the only thing which is changing right now
