I see that server 3 and 4 are suffering too, but are you sure that moving my thread into this one actually helps me?  I'm not on server 3 or 4 and I'm worried my post will be overlooked.

he does have a point, why dont they make more people who can deal with this stuff.

Have you considered time difference - I am sure that it will be fixed as soon as possible, until then,as I have only seen you post in complaint....I suggest you accept that these things happen, stop whining and wait with the rest of us?

Let me ask. Do you have money invested in your forum?

SMF for Free will let you know when it has been corrected.

Lets not get into symantics, etc here...      I have paid for credits, space myself at times.. it doesnt make my forum more important or me more angry about an error..       The service is free... IF we pay for something for it it is of our own choice..

Keep some patience here...    I have to leave for abit...

We realize it is frustrating however , like the rest of us, the Administrator does need to sleep.      It was not just disconnected either.    Please try to use some patience here.    As soon as he is able to he will get running again.

Sibyl, while I do appreciate your position and loyalty to SMFFF, I am a business man and have been for many years.  I am not criticizing anything other than the fact that when you are in possession of peoples funds, it is a smart move to either address your peoples concerns or to have a secondary set of personnel to address them.  I do understand that SMFFF must sleep, however, I cannot fathom the fact that there are probably several thousand sites hosted and no one to address people concerns on a satisfactory basis.  Simply allowing 100% of your traffic to be compromised on a regular basis will kill any idea of future success this service has to offer and if not, it will keep a steady turnover rate at which point it creates WAY more headache than preventative maintenance.  I guess I am voicing my concern due to the fact that there was no "heads up" so to speak and 100% of the forum owners on S3 and S4 were not able to communicate this issue to thier respective forums.  I say this based on the fact that I "think" SMFFF was attempting to convert some software on the servers and then they simply disappeared for now, 12 hours and counting.  I have invested my personal and my members funds into our forums and I am having to answer to 103 people so the chain of command keeps going up at which here I am.

Hopefully you do not take my post as being angry, rather trying to offer execution level advice to a small businessman.  I even had a staff member/IT professional offer to help sort issues at no charge and nothing ever became from the offer.  I do not understand.
