Hi,

Is there a possibility to speed up or slow down the marquee?

I am  assuming  you  mean  the  news forum..   I  have  three  seperate  sentences  in  the  news  forum.
 the  first  has  the  right  speed  but  the  next  two  sentences  go  very  fast..  I  have  not  incountered  this  problem  before..
 how  do  I  slow  up  the  other  two ?

Well, actually, a marquee anywhere, although the mos common use would BE the news. Yes.

Mine is a bit too slow, and I like to speed it up a tad.

I  changed  two  sentences  in  my  news  forum  and  after  doing  that , the
changed  sentences  was  very  fast  compared  to  the  third  sentence  that  was  not  changed.
what  went  wrong ? why  is  the  two  changed  sentences now  faster  than  before...the  news  forum now  moves  with  two  speeds

Are you using the marquee html tag somewhere?   
If so, you can find information here:

Check scrolldelay and scrollamount

What "news forum" are you talking about?
If you mean the news fader - go to Admin > Current Theme
Scroll down to the news fader settings and adjust the time there
