Request to all members
« on: January 15, 2007, 04:03:17 pm »
Hello   :)

I have a couple of simple requests.

When asking for help here at support please include the address of your forum in the request so that those who do help out here can help you better.    It will save time    ;)

This will also let us know if you are using smfforfree or smfforfree2
There IS a difference between the two and it is difficult to give help when we do not know which server (forum software)  you are using.

thankx     ;)

Good idea.
Also,  and I know you are a busy man ;) ,   but is there a way that you could set it here at support so that when someone registers here it asks for their forum address in the registration and adds it to their signature?   LOL        (I know.. thats alot to ask but it sure would help)

in the meantime Im going to make myself a little sig graphic that suggests leaving server and board info when posting ;)

Crasyandconfused edit: Clever idea, so I "borrowed" it and put it in my sig  ;)
simply sibyl edit:    I wondered if you would do that  lol  ;)
Crasyandconfused edits again: You know me...take it first, ask questions later

Oh? Do these differences include features?

Yes, there are more features on the new version. There's also some missing features. Some features are also in different spots. Lots of differences.

You'll see them when the upgrading system is finished and you are given the oppourtunity to upgrade. ;)

Is this because the server 2 forums use version 1.1.1 and the server 1 forums use version 1.0.10? I hit the upgrade request button to upgrade my forum to version 1.1, does this mean it will be set up the same way as the server 2 forums yet reside on server 1?

Does the upgrade move the forum to server 2 or can I keep my current url?
