Portal Sytem

I am working on a portal system for SMF For Free.
Some features listed under edit features and options then Portal Options.

Default theme has the portal button.

You can access the portal from you site url for example http://demo.smfforfree.com/portal.php

The default theme just keeps getting better and better

Edit: I tried it out...pretty cool! I can keep my members more informed now finally

Nice.

Just a suggestion but maybe more customizable. So maybe more online members list to the right or the top.

A setting to make it so that members can or can't leave comments

Portal button is only on default theme.
If you want it for others you need to design it and send it to me.

Point it to a board with the news...the other news(the news box news) doesn't work with it

crazy, i see in the edit features and options /portal options that there is a Board to display the news. i even created a board...called it news, put it there. an posted a news item....but the portal button remained blank, cept for the popular posts listed. I had "thought" by doin this...any posts in that section would appear in the new portal, but they didnt.

Well, any news topics and their first post would show up. Mine is working fine, look at www.crazychat.smfforfree.com

I just have it pointed at my Announcements board, nothing special behind it. I dunno whats wrong really...

DC. Check your portal settings again by default it set it to zero posts.

i had mine on 5 news articles...but still a no go :-[  das how i had thought it shood werk in theory, but  tisn werkin.
