Possible connection between surge in membership requests and server switch ?

I am suddenly being hit with a lot of ficticious membership requests. I pre-qualify all new members before actually aproving them. The emails are turning out to be fake.

Maybe it is a stupid question, but any chance there is some connection between these spammers  :knuppel2: and the server switch ?

No harm, just time consuming...  :)

Shouldn't be any if you find alot of the same IP let me know and I can block them.

We've been getting this over on our place....

I've already deleted a bunch with the same IP.... They've stopped for now.... But if they start again I'll let you guys know....

Send me the ip/email if you can and I can add it to global block list. Currently I monitor just posts not new member registrations.
