That will depend on the size of the forum, and the content.

Keep in mind .. this is a Free Forum Hosting service.. we host the forum for you.

If you have been running the forum yourself .. do not expect to have all of the same access that you have had.  You will not have access to ftp, or the package manager,  installing themes, doing backups, etc.  Its very different doing it on with a free host then it is running it yourself.

The benefits are that the service takes care of those things for you,  upgrades etc.

If you have a database backup you'll need to get in touch with SMF for Free to discuss  it with him, whether there is a fee involved, etc.     You can pm him about this.
