Through cloudy eyes
My mind plays games of seek and hide....
I see her sitting there
On the porch in her rocking chair!!!

She sips her coffee, trying to make it last
As her mind flows to seasons of the past...
Summers, and the hot heat
Snow shoveling to an inner beat!!!

Not so long ago
She ran and played in fields of snow
A cardboard box made for a sled
And ah peacefull slumber in a fluffy bed!!!

She dreams of cotton candy
And a bright sunny day, playing on the beach and getting sandy...
The hot toddies on a sick day made of brandy
And them hunks who came in handy!!!

Of babies born
And fields of corn
Of lovers past
And legs in a cast!!!

Of her miracle child
Who ran so free and wild
Of friends who called
And boarding up walls.....

Yes, the rocker slows
And the trees with frozen snow glows...
One more Christmas
And hopes for peace at last.....

In the cobwebs of my mind
We all have a warm place to find
And everyone is so very kind
And not one person goes hungry or cold and wishes well for all mankind!!!!
