Portfowarding Problems? HELP

Hi, it am trying to portfoward a certain port to make a runescape private server.
Though problem is, i type in my default gateway address.  Go to the page, and no default usernames or passwords work.

I contacted brighthouse and they wanted information that I did not have.  I didnt buy the router/modem from them.  Though I have the work order.

I have a Surfboard SBG6580 by Motorola.
Its a modem with a built in router.

I just want to portfoward the port 43594.

Anyone got any ideas on what to use.
I heard there are tools to use to portfoward.
Though none that ive used work.

Any ideas?

The Surfboard SBG6580 is a modem, not a router meaning you don't need to portforward it. You should have your computer directly plugged into that right?

Or do you have your modem plugged into a router? If so, which router?
