My computer time keeps switching... I set it at a certain time and the next time I come back to my computer the time has changed to something totally random.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Please?

Either your CMOS battery is dying, or your time zone is set wrong. I would check your time zone first

Although I could have typed this out a quick Google search found this information for you:

Verify that the time zone for your location is still set correctly.

Another thing you might try... Even if the time zone is being shown correctly, try changing it by one time zone, rebooting the computer, and then change it back to the correct one followed by another reboot. What you see is not always what is actually in the saved settings if things have gone wrong.

If it is changing more than one hour then it's possible the motherboard's BIOS battery is in need of changing. Usually this shows up as a more drastic change in date/time after a power down of more than a couple of minutes.

If the above does not help do some Google searching -  you should be able to find some help via a Computer related help forum as well.

Could also "possibly" be a malware issue but check your timezone settings/battery first.

Thank you I fixed it. It was the time zone like you said.
