with phpBB you have to add MODs to make it better or safer. ;) but the admin cp of phpBB is not user friendly like smf is. nice to meet ya all!

The thing with phpbb is I am not sure if they are ever going to come out with a new version. I tried SMF one day and decided it is time to host them heh. I will probably go back to phpbb and work on that once they have a new version.

SMF's always gonna be ahead of phpBB ;)

But phpBB3 is in development, just, well, it may not arrive any time soon.

agree, i dont know why theres alot of phpbb free hosting and almost nothing for smf, smf is the better and will be the better even with phpbb3 out ;)

I know, I'm sure they said about phpBB 3 last year. They shouldn't of said anything about it so everyone won't keep on asking when is it coming out.

because of ads to make $ and they added MODs, so they will make more $ (more people will come), and a lot of poeple know about phpBB and the set is easy to remember.
