Code for table within header
« on: May 12, 2011, 04:00:54 am »
Forum Url: http://irishroadracers.smfforfree.com/index.php
I would like to place a #4 Column #1 Row table within my header.

The background would be black, the border would be white, each Column would be 200px x 60px in size

Within each row I would like to place an href= (Link) - src= (Image.)

Can this be done, can some one supply a code?

Thanks in advance

Mago

Mago I'll have more time this week to work this up for you.   I took a look through your header code and if you would like, while Im at it, I'll simplify that code and correct some errors in it, update it abit.

Sybil,

Many thanks, the code that I have used for the href's - src's is something that I made up, but realise that its not as good as it should be.

Code: [Select]
<table width="800px" style="border: solid; border-color: white; background-color: black;" rowspan="4">
<tr>
<td width="200px" height="60px"><a href="#"><img src="blah.png" /></a></td>
<td width="200px" height="60px"><a href="#"><img src="blah.png" /></a></td>
<td width="200px" height="60px"><a href="#"><img src="blah.png" /></a></td>
<td width="200px" height="60px"><a href="#"><img src="blah.png" /></a></td>
</tr>
</table>

That's the one you requested, but from your newest post, it seems you would like it to be different.  How would you like it to look?

Agent Moose, many thanks that is what I was after.

Another question for you, would it be possible, if I were to replicate this code with different href/src' to have a code that would allow this to alternate, i.e. rotate verticaly.

Why yes, it would be possible :)  Just me guessing, but are you going to use it as an affiliate box?

I can't do it at this moment, but I shall get to it when I can.

Many thanks for the responce Mr Moose

I you have a look at http://irishroadracers.smfforfree.com/index.php you will see that I have now got a #4 row table, and a #1 row table installed.

I anticipate in the future that I will have multi #4 row tables installed,and rather than having these, take up the space that would be required, I would wish to have them rotating, hope that this mkes sense to you.

Just a heads up - there is an <a href someplace in the code in the header or someplace that is not closed with a </a>   Its causing all links on the forum to be active when you hover on one ;)

Code: [Select]
<!-Weather in Coleraine, Northern Ireland on your site - HTML code - weatherforecastmap.com --><div align="center"><script src="http://www.weatherforecastmap.com/weather11.php?zona=northern-ireland_coleraine"></script><a title="Weather Today in Coleraine" href="http://www.weatherforecastmap.com/northern_ireland/coleraine" >
The "<a title="  is not closed in that code.   Should be an </a> at the end of it.

While you are in there go thru and change all the <br/>'s to <br />   Should be a space in there between the br and the /

Er there are several mistakes in the header code - some xtra <center's> and missing </centers> and the <script> tags look to be mixed up too.

In other words its a mess, I shall have to copy the full header into Notepad, zoom in on it, and see what I can do to remedy the erors.

Yeah I'ld go through it carefully, correcting issues with one code at a time.

While you are doing this:
<center> code goes here </center>
should be changed to
<div style="text-align:center;"> code goes here </div>

The <center> tag is deprecated and should get away from using it.
