SMF For Free Support Forum

Hello,

I really need someone with experience when it comes to install a SMF Forum with an Arcade and possibly a Teamspeak 3 block. Myself and my friend who has a bit more insight into this type of thing have been trying for such a long time and we keep getting this error..

When I attempted to install the mod smf arcade I recieved the following error; "You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!" Now the only way to fix this that I have found through searching on google is the change several ftp files to the permissions to 777 versus 755 which I am not allowed to do due to restrictions placed on me by your servers. I don't know what to do at this point I've beening calling and using online chat for about a week and a half and I have gotten no where I am literally back to square one. Is there anything you or I can do to resolve this issue?

I have contacted my host multiple times and you know what techs are like, they kinda pretend to know, or they pass the blame on to someone else... this time it being SMF even though I know it isn't simply because previously when we had this problem someone at my hosts end solved the writing issue and they installed SMF and SimplePortal.

If someone would maybe like to Skype with me and maybe be willing to help I would appreciate it so much.
