Title: An Error? (Unknown Column in Where Clause)

Post by: -A- on October 17, 2008, 10:27:31 am: This is a bug that occurs in multiple places here at support. It is known as the "One Word Topic" bug, and occurs when a user posts a topic consisting of only one word. A moderator would have to change this to get it right.

I was about to edit my post and when I clicked on the post to edit it, this keeps on appearing.

Unknown column 'request' in 'where clause'

Is this a common error?

Post by: simply sibyl on December 12, 2008, 01:16:03 pm: You can not use one-word titles for the topics in that board and many boards here at support (including this board - I had to fix the topic title in order to access it) Its a known bug, only here at Support.. unfixable at this time; hopefully will be gone with 2.0

If it happens to you please do not make a new Topic - just pm a mod and we will fix the existing one.

He created a second topic for it so Ive removed the first one.
There is a statement about this in the Graphics Board Rules (http://www.smfsupport.com/support/graphics/graphics_board_rules_update_4122008-t13292.0.html;msg59831#msg59831) stating not to make one word topics (and why) ;)

It also happens in THIS board, the Suggestion Board, a few others here. So we suggest you do not make them in ANY Board here at Support.

He has known about this for over a year now. I would say it would be fixed if there were a way.
Hopefully down the road when 2.0 is released and installed for Support it will be fixed.

I fixed the topic title for you. Dont make one word topics anyplace here at Support and it will avoid the problem.
