SSL for Hosted Forums Option
« on: December 06, 2017, 10:55:42 pm »
SMF For Free has just rolled out the option for forum owners the option to turn on SSL for their forums.

This applies for the following domains if your forum is on smfforfree.com smfforfree2.com smfforfree3.com smfforfree4.com freesmfhosting.com smfserver.com   this SSL feature will work.
If you are a custom domain user we can setup SSL on your forum for you for a fee of $50 1 year $65 for 2 years or $75 for three years.

Notes: If you have external scripts or css images make sure they are sourced as https instead of http  we proxy images posted in posts or avatars.  If you are using a custom style please resave the server to update our internal urls to https first.

Now if you ready to switch over or test SSL you can do in the following area in your forum:
Admin -> Forum Settings
Then check "Forum Use SSL" and save.

Enjoy,
SMF For Free
