It's a good idea, yea but why not just use a skin chooser? (Agent's code - he made three or four of them)

Adding your skins to it would take up alot of memory, plus it would have to be uploaded to the forum, which would again be hard to manage.

Skins rarely exceed more than 5 kb, if my estimation is correct. You could add skins the way you add a style to your forum.

Yes, but if members could upload their own skins, say you have 500 members who do so, thats about 2.5MB of space being taken up on the web.

But, if you put that into lots and lots (thousands) of forums, it adds up.

He was asking that an option be put where they could choose their own skins. I understand that to mean a list of the already installed stylesheets, that they could choose from.

Oh. Sorry, I misinterpreted thisas the "YOUR" to mean the users. Sorry again, -Joe at any rate the size of them is really not a huge deal. There are thousands of forums, and we can make stylesheets, which already does add them to our forums, so we can use them. If the space all of them MUST be taking up is no big deal... well.... I'ld think space is not the issue. The issue (seems to me) is having a system that would work well, that would allow the members to choose the styles you have installed. That would be something that SMF would have to figure out and feels abit complicated to me. Who knows.. maybe at some point he'll consider it.

We're past that.... and who is "we"? You are sounding really disrespectful to me right now, and to the people like me, who are lucky to be able to afford 80 gigs, Terabytes are not dirt cheap.
