Pretty URLs

Is there any way that pretty urls (a mod that is applied to this forum) could be applied to the free forums? It would Improve the look of the forums so much.

Have it on createaforum.com but it does increase database load and size

People registered with SMF For Free won't be bothered to switch hosts, and get their members to post everything again. Could this be possible for SMF For Free hosted sites, please?
