SMF, i think you should have a headers and footers section on the downloaded version of SMF, that way people can use it on their "REAL" websites, and still be able to use all of this great stuff, without it going to waste Just An idea =)

Simple machines already has that mod for you to install. It's called Global Headers/Footers. But it doesn't always run smoothly. Ask Lynx from here...we ruined her formal board trying to get it installed.

kyle you mentioned to me via pm that this happened a very long time ago.... we could have probably gotten you in back then by having you disable javascript but you never told us about this. Your forum was moved to another server last nite and there have been a couple that have gotten the current error you have. Ill have smf take a look AT it and see if that is what is going on with it now. lets keep this on topic please! Simple machines already has that mod for you to install. It's called Global Headers/Footers. But it doesn't always run smoothly. Ask Lynx from here...we ruined her formal board trying to get it installed.
It isnt totally the same one.. took a look at it a long time ago. Nonetheless we dont talk about mod installation probs for the software here as we do not do support for it here

Dusty
He asked SMF to put the Manage Styles > Edit Header> Footer that we HAVE with our forums into the simplemachines software that you can download.
We already have it. There is a mod at simplemachines for headers/footers - it is not the same thing. You can edit them but not in the same way and the info winds up in a different place (the header info)
Suggestion threads really arent discussion threads guys. They are a place for you to drop a suggeston to SMF for him to consider.
