Custom ranks bars

Either this isn't in there or I just haven't figured it out

My suggestion would be to make it to where we can link to our own rank bars on our forums Wink

Where the field for rank bars currently is, we could just put the direct link to our bars in.

No its not an option in there... You can choose the ones from the starfile page link or you can use your own images by following this:
How to use your own Rank Images

I have a forum on www.createaforum.com (runs off smf 2.0) and it allows you to use rank images without a code. So, looks like that is something we can deffinitelly look forward to when smf 2.0 comes out.

That is not an option with the 2.0 software and would be something SMF tweaked and setup himself.

2.0 is still in RC (Release Candidate) they (simplemachines) are very wisely not rushing it and working out issues that an upgrade as large as it is would be expected to have.
