I used a code to change the text because I wanted the text to have lowercases in the tabs, but that does not work. Any idea how I can make lowercases?

you use:

 text-transform: lowercase;

in place of:

 text-transform: uppercase;

Can I use this in different parts of the word-- Also do I put this in the stylesheet?

look thru the section in the css for the tabs
for every instance that you see text-transform:  uppercase;     change it to lowercase;


http://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_text_text-transform.asp shows ya the other options for text-transform
