here's the site where the code is wrong, you can see that immediately since the banner, at the top of the site is ruined by a wrong css/html closure code.

http://dragonballzgt.smfforfree3.com/index.php

style="margin: 4px;" alt="DragonballZGT" />

this is part of the code that is VISIBLE near the banner, this means that it hasn't been closed properly. Can someone please fix it for me?  Cool

I studied css and html and I personally would do something like this:

<style="margin: 4px" alt="DragonballZGT">
</style>

I would be grateful, since the site is great and this little problem ruins the banner, that actually is the first thing that a new user sees before entering our forum. A bad start isn't good.

And just where did you insert that code for the image?  I didn't find it in the css or the header/footer area.  Did you put it in  Admin CP-Configuration-Forum Settings-Core Configuration?  If so,  take it out and see if that helps.

I'm not the expert here, but I have seen one forum this week that put something in there and it messed up by throwing partial codes up on the page.

Wait I didn't insert anything in anywhere, I'm just a moderator there, I don't have access obviously to the html of that site. Probably administrator has, or a profesionist. but thanks anyway for your answer, it may help Smiley

I know how to use html, also css, and how to correct them, but I don't have access there, and was wondering if someone can. Who has access to the html of that site? because a friend of mine is the founder of that forum, and he doesn't have access to the html pages. That's why I'm here Smiley

We as forum users only have access to the css for the stylesheet and the html in the header/footer section as well as any html for input into the portal area.  We do not have access to any other part. However, there are codes available in the coding section that will allow you to influence certain areas of the forum.  If the Administrator of your forum has not been here before they may wish to come read and see what information is available to them.

maybe we solved, probably that text is visible because the banner goes on the LOGO of the forum, this creates contrast, nothing easier than that, but I thought it was something worse. I'll inform you then, sorry but I psoted here only because I'm the only moderator there who understand perfectly html and css, so I'm trying to help out  Wink

Admin > Current Theme > logo image url

There is a box there.
The only thing you can put IN that box is the direct link to the image
You can not put anything else in that box - that means no css, no html.. ONLY the direct link for the image
Put only this in that box:
