I was wondering how I could do this, so that the images fit properly.

There's a way to do it.. I dont have time to go thru and figure it out at the moment.

Try adding padding-top and padding-bottom   (that should do it)
padding-top:   10px;
padding-bottom: 10px;        
Change the 10px;  til you get it as you want it.

or adding height:  40px;   (change the 40 according to how you need it)
