You do that in Admin > Current Theme > enable news fader

It has to be something in your  news settings Lucas.   The css does not effect whether it will fade or not.   It has only the colors/fonts etc in it.   It cant stop it from fading in any way at all.   I had the news fader on my forum (the one in my sig) and it worked fine for all styles, including this one, as it should.  I dont have time to stick it on there right now to show ya or I would do so.

Look carefully thru that guide and your settings.. its all I know to tell ya sorry.

Lucas I had a moment to setup the news so you can see that it does work with this stylesheet.
Go here  http://sibylstestsite.smfforfree3.com/index.php and choose the smiley sunset theme then click the forum tab.   You'll see that it works fine.
