[Help] solid background ??
« on: January 31, 2009, 08:11:20 pm »
I am not using a default style .. but one of the others .. is it posiible to change the background to just a solid color on those ?? like just plain light blue ?? and if so how would I do that .. Take out the image url and then put in a light blue color code where it says background color ??

Yes, in the CSS area for background color you would replace the color with the hexidecimal code for the one you want to use and you would remove the line pertaining to the background image url.

Two suggestions

1) Make yourself a test forum. Sooner or later you're going to make a big mistake in your coding and be glad it's not your main board.

2) If you don't want to deal with a test board and you are willing to take the risk of a big mistake, at least don't work on your active CSS file. Always work with a "newer version": copy your current CSS file into a new style and work with that one going forward, and so on...and save the last few working versions and again, NEVER work on the one that is currently your board default because if other members are online while you are doing it you're going to freak them out..lol...
