[Stylesheet] Christmas - Stuck in a Snowdrift
« on: November 18, 2007, 01:16:32 pm »
screenshot:

The background image is from a wallpaper I designed a couple of years ago.
If you would like to use the background on your computer as wallpaper it is 1024x768

If you want to use these images you need to download them, upload them to your own Photobucket/etc account.
Get the links and change them in Admin > Manage Styles > Customize Images

on, off images:
use the same ones for new_some and new_none

enjoy!

Update:    I discovered a very easy way to make the style transparent.
If you would like the forum to be transparent on top of the background (it works great with this style)

Look for this area of the css:

Code: [Select]
/* The main body of the entire forum. */
body
{

             background-image: url(http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m105/mysmileyplace/tuxsnowdrift.png);
             background-position:  bottom;
             background-attachment:  fixed;
             background-repeat:  no-repeat;
background-color: #072267;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px 45px 195px 45px;

}

add this to it right underneath padding: 0px; 45px 195px 45px;

Code: [Select]
opacity:0.41;
filter:alpha(opacity=80)

Nice work Sibyl!
When I get older, I will be stronger,
They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

~~K'naan Wavin Flag~~

How do you make a style sheet?

Admin > Manage Styles
Click Create Style
Put in a name for the new style.. go down and click save
Then to work on it click Modify Style.  Choose the style you just created.

You can mess with the options at the top but to do stuff in the bottom you have got to understand html and css.   w3schools is a good resource for that

If you want to use these images you need to download them, upload them to your own Photobucket/etc account.
Get the links and change them in Admin > Manage Styles > Customize Images
I did what it says to do but no pictures showed up it just says no new messages!How do I fix that?

When you are in customize images you will see in the lower right at the bottom a blank box.  Name your image set a distinctive name.  Save.

Go to top, and choose an image set, select the name you made.

Replace the image urls with the ones you want to use.  Save.

Select the image set you made at the top.  Go to forum and see if they are what you want.
