I found Agent Moose's awesome code for making child boards invisible on the index:

put it in the footers and it worked great, except that on every board where there were stickied topics, the topic was pushed over to the left and the right side of them had a gray box.  Also turned the posts white.  Don't know if it has to do with the fact that stickied topics and the child boards are the same color?  The code is just what we need - but how do we keep it from making the gray boxes?  Help, please!
