[Code] Shoutbox on your board

You will have to look at the code and make changes to it.    I copied it into notepad and did so there, then pasted it into the description.

Top line of the code in mine is:

< div id="yellbox" style="width: 400px;" >


The next section down is:

 < iframe name="ybframe" style="width: 90%; border: 1px inset;" frameborder="0" height="170" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"  width=”350”


NOTE:  I had to add this part in the above:  width=”350”     there was no width setting there


I also set it so that they can input more then 10 letters for a name.
There is a section for input name... change the maxlength in that section.   I set mine to 20.

I think that was the only place I made changes.  If it doesnt work let me know and Ill look thru it further for you.

DC.. I looked over at your forum... looks like you got it
you might want to change the percentage for the width for the box at the bottom

If you look in the code you will see a section, near the bottom.   

It is:  width: 70%;" >Say< /button >   

Mine is at 70... you can play with the settings for yours to get it to match
the rest of the shoutbox

Chandler, when u sign up for a shout box, you will receive a code for it. copy that code then go to your admin panel......on the left you will see Forum controls...under forum controls you will see....Manage boards...click on that.....then click on create a new category...order is where u want it to be.....that is if you have other boards.....name....name it wat u want...mine i did guest book.... click add category..... then u will see yer board..under name......(modify)  click that....in the description...paste the code for the shout box there.  remember to hit modify i hopes that helps

In the headers/footers? You could try < align = right > . Im not sure if that
will do it or not... Maybe shadow will jump back in here..

www.cbox.ws works awesome. you can customize it any way you want - colors, shapes, size of box etc. You can also add all your own smilies

I've tried both Cbox.ws and Shoutboxes.com, but when I paste the code into headers I get a blank page with the message "Cannot write to file". Help is much appreciated!

easier way , and i think it looks much better, is to make a new board.. put the code in the description for the board.

Thanks. I'll try that. It started to work, but the problem now is that it is situated above my banner (which looks VERY stupid).

Update: I don't exactly like how it looks as a board. Is there a way to place it above or underneath the sponsored ads, before the boards? Let me know.
