[Code] Password Protect v2
« on: April 07, 2009, 09:04:43 am »
Add to headers if you don't have it:
Code: [Select]
<script src="/jquery.js"></script>
Footers:
Code: [Select]
<script src="http://209.85.62.24/15/114/0/f527804/PasswordProtectv2.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
PasswordProtect("BOARD","PASSWORD");
</script>

Its about time isn't it?  After more than a year of having the first Password Protect code, I make the version two :)

BOARD = The Board ID of the board you want to be password protected.
PASSWORD = The Password to enter that board.  Password is CaSe SeNsITivE

To add more board to be protected, add more of these lines:
Code: [Select]
PasswordProtect("BOARD","PASSWORD");
PLEASE NOTE:
There will not be a code to password protect the recent posts.  This can not be done!  Also note that there will not be a code to password protect certain topics.

Enjoy :)

I must warn people,
(Sorry to rain on your VERY cool code Agent Moose)

This is not a very secure method of password protection. Anyone with knowledge of how this code works can easily find the password to the boards you are protecting ;)

Hover your mouse over the Boards name -   look in your browsers status bar (bottom of the browser)  You'll see the Board number there in the url.

Just try putting 34 for the Board ID :)  Leave out the ".0" part, you don't need it.

I'm guessing you only have the board for a certain membergroup.  I can't do anything if I can't see the board :P
