not to sound redundant but html, hyper text markup language.

heres a really good guide to html
http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

everything you can use in the box:
html, xhtml, some css, browser scripting, and some xml.

If you use your imagination there are alot of things you can use the html boxes for.
A shoutbox?   Some Quick Links to boards in your forum?    An affliates box?   Maybe some sort of widget?  Widgetbox has tons of them:  Widgetbox   (games, calendars, clocks etc etc etc)  Besides using w3schools there are links at the bottom of the portal guide for some easy html help.   Wink
