Sibyl won't be back until later in the week. I know she knows how to do it, cause I did the same thing a long time ago and she helped me fix it. If I saved all the "this is how you fix this" notes I would have an 80lb novel.

When you start up a brand new forum, what is the url for the classic and default smiley sets? if i could reset it back to those i think i would be ok

In order to find out what is going on I need to ask you to look at the Troubleshooting section in the Guide because that section contains everything I would ask you anyways so its easier to have you read that section. It helps you with things such as the following: Make sure you put: http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll92/Poketopia as the Base Url. Make SURE there are NO spaces before or after that url = its important Make sure you have Smileys set as the default smiley set Make sure you went to Admin > Current Theme - use the dropdown box to choose Smileys as the default set Make sure you named the smileys the exact same names.

The Base Url is your Photobucket URL. Do NOT put the url to the album the smileys are in (that is in the Guide btw) The url you need to put on that page is: http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll92/PoketopiaWhen you do the part of the Guide for setting up a new smiley set you tell it the name of the album - Smileys The forum will look in the Base URL for that folder and find the smileys so long as you have them there and named correctly and they are chosen as the default set in Current Theme Settings. I'll check back in later and see how you did with this but Im very busy offline today. Will be on as I can.

Forum Url: http://iamcrazy.smfforfree4.comI'm sorry if this is here and I overlooked it... Is there a way to add more smileys rather than just changing what exists? I have been on some smfforfree forums that had at least 50 smileys but I can't find anything to help me do that.

I have been on some smfforfree forums that had at least 50 smileys but I can't find anything to help me do that. There is no way to add more to that area, sorry. The forums where you see more are the forums on the original server from years ago that are smfforfree (no number in the url) . There used to be the ability to upload smileys back then. That ability has been disabled and he has said it will not ever be re-enabled. In a nutshell all you can do is replace the existing ones , using the Guide. There is a code in the Codes Index for using a little dropdown box thing to add more of your own. You can click on them while in a post box to use them. I realize its not the same as having them right there in the post area but its all we have at the moment.

Thanks for this tute! It was some trial and error on my part, and messing up one step really made it all very painful but as soon as I went back and re-did every single step I realized I messed up the current theme step. Fixed!
Thanks again.
