THis is an old Guide Kalphite and no longer needed. A video embed mod was added to the forums awhile back. Now when you post a YouTube link in a post it automatically embeds the video into the post.
Thanks I was confused.

Forum Url: http://crimechatter.smfforfree3.comJust a quick question - I have searched for the answer and have been unable to find it. Can you embed other video's besides youtube and if so, how would you go about doing that? Thank you, Kimberly

THis is an old Guide and no longer needed for posting them in posts. A video embed mod was added to the forums awhile back. Now when you post a YouTube link in a post it automatically embeds the video into the post. For places like the header/footer/portal block use the embed code from Youtube.

Where is the embedded code on You tube? I keep trying to add a youtube in a post and it keeps telling me: Embedding disabled by request...is there somewhere in Admin panel to enable?

rileyks - When you view a video you'll see the information about it and who posted it to the right of the video box. In that information box there are two text areas
one says "URL" and one says "Embed"
copy what's in the "embed" section

Oh Ok....thanks...I only looked below the video which only gave the URL. Actually this particular video at the right for the embed says Embedded Disabled by Request.
