Is there any way of preventing the backround image from being repetitive, ie just showing up as one single image, for example, in the center of the individual block. Thanks again.

Forum Url: http://Neosten.smfforfree.comHey i have a couple questions..i been using smf for a long time and started switching over to php, but it just became a big pain, so i switched back to smf and im having trouble with the homepage. Heres a pic. I have the left and right width at 20 and the center at 60. but the sides seem to be smaller than center when the center width is much larger..please help. ------------------------------------- Also i messed up on the url and wont let me edit. It lets me edit, but it keeps going back to the first version not 3, so the url is http://Neosten.smfforfree3.com

Yeah it doesnt seem to hold those sizes. You'll find that the width of the columns is going to depend on what you have in them. You can get a colum to be a set width if you have an html block in it and set a table width for the block. I notice you have a Board News block in the center. Once you actually have written a post in the board that is going to be displaying the news there its gonna shift the blocks again so you may want to do that first and see how it goes. There are some tips throughout the Portal Guide thread: Complete Guide to Setting up the Portal

It takes some fiddling around with it, moving blocks, etc to get it exactly as you want it. Would be nice if those numbers did "hold" but they don't so ya gotta try working with it in other ways Im afraid.
Once ya add a news topic to that center block it may well straighten out for ya.
