Click on copy and then go to ur Forums Click Admin>ManageStyles> Then click on Edit Headers/Footers Click on Footers if you wont it on the bottem or headers if you wont that chat box on top and then Copy the code you got and paste it in there and click Save and there! Try putting it in you footers or a html block in your portal.

First thing is you have the jquery in the wrong section.  It goes in your headers, not in your Logo URL.

chat box code can go in either your headers or footers since you are just starting out.

you dont need to have a chatbox i your header or footer. just make a new catergory called chatbox and make a board called chatbox and put your chatbox code into the descrition. check out my forums chatbox.
