Half of that wouldn't be needed if you didn't give any information to anyone about anything About you.

No.

We have had several people come in claiming their forums were hacked when in reality they gave other people Admin access and those people took over their forums.   That is NOT hacking.

A question for Simply Sibl: Or a mod... Can you still be logging on if the hackers hack your forum?

hi Lucas - did you read my previous statement in this thread a couple posts up?

Every instance when someone has come here claiming they were "hacked" they were not.
When you give someone Admin access you are giving them control of your forum, and access to Modify things that can cause you to be unable to use your forum.   That is not hacking.    That is something  "you"  (in general)  gave them the ability to do.     Do not give anyone access to Modify Member Accounts or ban people unless you are running a VERY large forum and absolutely have to have that type of help.   Even then be very sure you can trust those you do have help you in that way.

I would advise that you make random passwords from this site: http://www.pctools.com/guides/password/

JUST BE SURE TO SAVE YOUR PASSWORD SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU CAN FIND IT AGAIN!!!!

I should rephrase then... If I went to my Grandpas house... and was still logged on... If I log out there, will I log out here?
