To download a server status checker, heres the link.
http://status.blackout-gaming.net/
fill that out*sorry its blurry*.
then go to admin>board>new catigory>board>past the HTML code in the discription of the board. then save.

to get a chat box.
admin>board>new catigory>then make a board>past this in the board discription.

nice thanks good job bro! but one thing....how do i make my self the owner of the chat box and also how do i change the background....?

no problem im owned ftw. also if you're little icon on the chat box is orange you're owner to ban people make them member or guest moderator or owner just click on there name. hope i helped!!

The best thing to do rather then use someone elses chatbox code is to go to the site and get your OWN code for it.   The one he posted is from http://xat.com/   You can go there, create your own.

I added 'chatbox' but found non members were coming on it.... Scratches head and waits for someone with patience to explain to this PC novice how to it properly in words of less then three syllables!

If you do not want guests to use it create a Board for it.   Do not give Guests access to the Board.    Put the code for the chatbox in the Boards Description.

If you dont want to go that route then you would have to use one that allows you to ban people and ban them as needbe.

For the chat box you can always get one from http://freeshoutbox.net they give you ipban's, mute, moderators, and ability to change access on it and alot of other good stuff.. and it has a 1 min timer to keep the spam out. and after 5 messages in a row it auto mutes the person for 2 hours unless a mod+ changes it.

i need a chatbox that when you log on to the site....you can go straight in and start chatting if you are a member, and there is no need to login to chatbox...does this make since
