Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be as long as stated, but have battened down the hatch's for the storm.  Am ready to update the IP with GoDaddy as soon as our forum is back up and running. 

Sib or LL, can I update the IP with GoDaddy while the upgrade is going on or do I have to wait for the upgrade to finish?

After the move is completed it will take time for your computer to update the dns.   That could take 24-48 hours and yes could take much less time.   

Would let a good amount of time go by as he first has to backup the database then move all the forums.   
Rememer there are a whole lot of forums on that server.   

If you cant get on after 24 hours you could try to flush the dns manually however it does not always work.

Start > Run >  type in cmd.exe
Type in:    ipconfig /flushdns

Im not positive but I "think" it would be okay for you to go ahead and update the nameserver IP now.

mod drask182  I just noticed you do have a forum on server 1 too..    read thru that Announcement hon.   Then read back thru the thread here.  It will explain everything to you.   On your server 2 forum do the disable javascript thing and you'll be able to fix that.  Please reply about THAT issue in that thread though:

Red, yes I think it is best to wait until SMF gives the go ahead.
