You can use BBCode and/or HTML in the news

This will help you with html font tags:
http://www.webdiner.com/annexe/font/font.htm

If you want to use BBCode instead its the same as it is in posts.
Change "red" to the color you want to use.

[color=red]text goes here[/color]

that would make:    text goes here
