I have had the same thing happen...less the "untrusted admin", just my own foolishness, I deleted myself from the admin group as i was trying to create an 'owners' group and move me there..  - sending for my only admin to let me back again, and he is not responding, sent a message to SMF for help, and awaiting there reply.

I know this post isnt helpful, or isnt going to get an answer, but i throught id join the chorus, and make my first post also

In the scripts that I  build, I give a warning to anyone holding an admin position that they are about to remove themselves from administration permisssions and what a foolish, foolish thing this is to do...... and i assumed something of the sort would happen here if i was about to do this....just an assuption i had made about the extent of my permissions..

The reason I didnt just rename is because I didnt want to offend my admin, as he is being slightly demoted by permissions(and not by name), but it appears it is I who has been demoted...ROFL - I have definately done this backwards...and this will surely serve as help for any who do the same...
