I was looking at the TOS which I never really paid attention to before and saw the one which says


Now I just want to clear something up on this for myself, I understand the porno and adult sections but mature that kind of throws me, you see to me something that shows full frontal nudity would be classed as adult in my view but then when it says mature I get confused because that can cover a whole range of things

Also see the non english speaking section does that mean that if someone was to say post a topic in a non english language on a english board that its broken or is it if the whole board is set up in another language

i see, would you say something like my avatar would fall in that section?, i had a bit of a problem on Zetaboards with the same thing.

to be honest with my board i tend to have the rule of nothing pornographic so basically anything can be posted as long as its not nudes, i just wanted to check if that kinda rule i got going might need to be tweaked a little so as not to break the TOS

no offence but that has never come up as a problem for me at all and although its in the TOS i dont need to make a feature of it because the regular members of my board dont post such things and if anyone new does or posts anything against the TOS or board rules its removed with quickly.

my main question was regarding the Adult & mature content lables

yeah in regards to material i was saying lol, should of read the whole topic why would i say something about nudes and be refering to warez and other illegal downloads unless you cant post pictures of these activities being done lol

I am with you on that although people have different views on things, I have used my current avatar loads of places and only had 1 problem and to them all I would say is what’s the problem?

is it that 2 members of the same sex are kissing or is it the act itself, when ever I try to get a fuller picture they tend to go off and actually flame me for trying to understand their views.

anyway to me the mature section can be taken out of context by so many which was why I wanted to bring it up, I see its addition to cover all bases but in another way its so broad that anything could be put into it, i guess its a kind of safe guard really just one that can be abused

It could be. If you are swearing at people in a hateful way, using racial epithets and flaming, you possibly could be closed.  Of course as an Admin it is up to you to police your members.  If you as an Admin are using this kind of behavior then SMF would be the one to decide.
