There are people constantly surfing myspace.  I have garnered over 50 members from it.  If you don't believe it, don't do it.   uglystupid2

How do I create a myspace page for my forum?  Please give some guidelines as this is the first time I've learnt about it.

Just go to myspace, and join! Make a site.. in fact... look at mine...

http://www.myspace.com/buster_cannon

BCF the Myspace!

BTW: My site is looking better, and I have a lot more stuff in the future! I have 20 members now, and a new affiliate! I also created a website using freewebs, not much, but a mediocre site, chock-full of ads for you forum might produce quite a lot of reaction...

http://www.freewebs.com/crystalmanexe/index.htm

Just started it, so There should be some more updates there soon.

Hmm, tips, tips, tips.
I wonder if this would work.

Find a good story that hasn't been reported on much. Something amazing...
Put it on your site, and link it to Digg.com
That can really produce traffic if you picked a good story.

I have added a category in my links mod titled "members sites"
This gives all my members a place to post their site urls. I know some of them are getting a few hits from this.

Well, we all want to get hits...out of which (hopefully) some members. I don't believe in "charging" people posts to do it. However...on my forums, you do need to have posts to add a link. But I usually add it for you if you don't have enough posts. All you have to do is ask..The reason I did it this way is because I want my REPEAT members to have more options on the forum than my ONE TIMERS.I don't want someone to visit my forum just to advertise their site and then never see them again.

though i haven't given the incentive of adding links, it's somewhat the same unexpected issue i'm experiencing.  i've now observed that members gradually do come up to sign .. but just that.  they sign in, then disappear.  out of every 20 members, hardly 2 post regularly.

I have a question. I was putting my site into google. When it asked to verify that I was admin I had to put a Meta tag I guess I put it in the wrong place or it was the wrong code and now all I see when I go to my site is a black blank page. I cant take the code out because I see nothing. Can that be fixed? Please help!

Yup, it's something in your headers that's messing with the forum. Likely since you put new <head></head> tags in the header.

Try this
http://exotictoaquatics.smfforfree.com/index.php?action=style;sa=clearheader

Go to that link...if the cookie for your forum is still on your computer that might clear your headers which could fix your forum. Wink If it doesn't work you'll just have to wait for the admin to clear your headers for you.
