I'd like to be able to post more than one board on it. Right now it only lets you select one. I also like the idea someone posted about having custom blocks where you can add your own information. Something that stays at the top of the forum or maybe to the side. Like a news box.

In the process of trying to get my board set up, I have found there is things I would like to be able to do on my homepage. Some of these things I could do using the header or footer but I don't want these items clogging up my forum pages. One thing I would like to be able to do is to run items like the Amber Code Alert http://codeamber.org/get_ticker.cgi and Mini TVRacer http://www.tvracer.com/minischedules.htmThank You

Let's remember it may take time for any to be implemented. SMF has said there will be much more to the portal and Im sure when he does have the time to work on it we will see changes to it. In the meantime The Amber Alert and the TVRacer could be put , as said, in the Header, Footer areas. They could also be put in a board's description area, as many people do with shoutboxes, etc..

Please add in a blog, or set it up like server 1 where you could put in your own custom html.

Well, I see that in the forum, apperently that is what it used to look like. I see that they used PHP because it showes the coding of it at the bottom of the forum...and I don't kow PHP, so I can't help you with it.

It will automatically update on your forum. When he gets things installed he usually announces it here: http://www.smfsupport.com/support/announcements-b2.0/

When you installed your portal on your server 3 forum, did it not give you the option to select the board/topic that you wanted to appear on the portal? (right now thats the only thing that can be put on it). Edit: this is what you should see:
