Portal Ideas
Send me some ideas for the Portal function. The latest feature I am working.
It will an option to turn on your admin panel. And it change the main page of your forum to the portal page.
Portal page could list latest topics information maybe
News from a board
Random Gallery Image
Random Aracde Image
Login Box
Recent Gallery Image
Recent Links
Maybe recent profile comments
Stats on the forum.
Custom blocks for your own information.

lol of course I am still confused as to what a 'portal' is and what it looks like...anywhere I can look at one to see what it looks like and is for? That way I can see if I would be able to use it and maybe be able to offer any suggestions.  |

Was just wondering does the portal have to be called portal...
Few sites I'm in its down as new posts or todays posts ..
Its easier for people to uderstand what it is.........

Have a basic portal setup on Server 2. Mostly just shows board news. Later on I would add some user defined blockas and other cool stuff heh.

Will the new portal be available through a "button" up with the Home, Profile, Search etc buttons as it was in the previous portal? Giving members a choice whether or not to access it would be nice. Some of mine had bookmarked the portal page to come in, but not all and I'ld like to see it be that way.
I cannot think of much else to add to it , other then what we had on the previous version.
I liked having the newest posts, users online etc. I would most likely, if even possible, try to make it
as it was before.

How about something like the online list, maybe saying 'Guests and Members Browsing this site in the last ___ Minutes'
